Joan Collins aims to be the queen of mean in Birmingham

HOLLYWOOD diva Joan Collins is urging Birmingham audiences to boo her as she takes on her first pantomime – but not too harshly.
The 77-year-old former Dynasty actress began rehearsals in the city this week for the part of Queen Rat in the Hippodrome pantomime Dick Whittington. And she warned that she will be the queen of mean.
“I am bad, bad, bad,” she said. “But in a tongue-in-cheek way. I hope they boo me but not too much.”
And Joan said she is enjoying the experience.
“I am having so much fun. It is more fun than I thought it would be and the rest of the cast are so good. It just means we are having a ball together.”
Starring alongside her as King Rat is actor Nigel Havers, who is breathing a huge sigh of relief at being out of the jungle and into pantomime.
The 59-year-old star lasted ten days in the television show I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! before walking out last month.
