Moseley Dance Centre shuts down

A LEGENDARY Birmingham nightspot renowned for its beer-splashed floors and free Refreshers has closed its doors on its club nights after two decades.

Dwindling revellers at Moseley Dance Centre has caused the venue to call time on its seventies-themed parties which have run for the best part of 20 years.

In its heyday, Moseley Dance Centre, also known as MDC, was a late-night magnet for drinkers who made the short walk down the hill from Moseley Village after the pubs closed at 11 o’ clock.

But with the change in licensing laws allowing pubs to stay open later, the club has seen fewer customers.
