MIDLANDS Today presenter Satnam Rana officially opened the new £5.7 million Blakenhall Community and Healthy Living Centre in Wolverhampton on Monday.

Funded mostly by All Saints and Blakenhall Community Development partnership and managed by Wolverhampton City Council, the Bromley Street centre opened for the first time in October.

It boasts a fitness suite, separate young people’s gym, toning suite and sports hall and offers activities including badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, bowls, netball, basketball, cricket, football and martial arts.
