A DETERMINED father-of-two has won back the £2,000 he deposited at a Birmingham Barclays following a David versus Goliath-style battle with the bank.
John Arnold staged a sit-in protest at his branch in Chester Road, Castle Bromwich, after staff claimed they could not locate the money and refused to return it.
The 54-year-old, who had paid the money in during November last year, had threatened to perform another ‘hold up’ at the bank and even risk arrest.
But the bank bowed down and agreed to hand him his cash back last week, just one working day after his protest.
“I’m very relieved the bank has seen sense and paid the money back,” said John.
