SHE’S survived a stint in the Australian jungle in I’m A Celebrity.... and made it into the world of showbiz after appearing on hit reality show Big Brother.

Now bubbly Brummie Alison Hammond is the city’s ambassador on this year’s Comic Relief.

And she has teamed up with the Birmingham Mail to give away £50,000 to Midland community groups and charities through the Red Nose Day Community Cash Fund Campaign.

Alison said: “I was really honoured when I was asked to become Birmingham’s ambassador for Comic Relief.

“I’ve never done anything like it before so I jumped at the chance – especially because I get to wear the red nose! It’s also fantastic doing something like this in my home town.

“I think it’s such a brilliant charity and it does so much good for people in the UK and all over the world.”
