BACK of the net!

Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor delighted dozens of young footballers by handing their club a huge windfall to help develop their facilities.

The striker visited Boldmere Sports and Social Club in Sutton Coldfield to present Boldmere Falcons FC with a cheque for £464,000.

And it was a case of triple delight for chairman Brian Bryant with another £250,000 coming in from a Football Association grant and an extra £50,000 from Sutton Coldfield Municipal Charities.

The cash will go towards developing a high-tech artificial grass pitch and state-of-the-art pavilion at the club’s base in Boldmere Road, Sutton.

Mr Bryant said: “This is a very proud time for the club.

“It has been my dream to improve facilities for the boys and girls at this club and now that dream is coming true.”
