POLICE are appealing for information after £20,000 worth of copper was stolen from the roof of a Midland doctors’ surgery.
A 30ft by 30ft section of the roof at the New Road GP surgery in Bromsgrove was stripped of copper roof sheeting some time between 8pm on Monday, February 28 and 9.30am on Thursday, March 3, said a spokesman for West Mercia Police.
Pc Steve Allen said: “Metal theft has become increasingly common over the last few years and I want to warn shops, offices and schools that they could all be vulnerable and need to be on their guard.”
