INTRODUCING Jaguar – by Royal appointment!

For a fleet of the legendary luxury car giant’s flagship XJ saloons are being lined up to ferry VIP guests to the Royal Wedding next month.

Seven vehicles were recently dispatched to a Government department, thought to be the Royal Household, to chauffeur guests to the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

It was not clear whether the Royal couple themselves would be travelling in one of the chauffeur-driven XJs but speculation mounted after it was announced the couple would ditch the traditional horse and carriage in favour of a more modern mode of transport – and the expectation was that a British-built prestige marque would be chosen for the big occasion.

The decision to travel by car marks a break with royal protocol, though following their marriage ceremony the couple will travel from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace in a traditional carriage procession.
