A man has been trapped in a car after a single vehicle crash on the M6 last night.

The incident occurred on the M6 Southbound near junction 1 at around 9.30pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival at the scene, crews found a car that is believed to have rolled over and suffered substantial damage.

“A man was trapped in the car for around an hour after suffering head injuries. The man was treated at the scene taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.

“A second man suffered multiple minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The man was also taken to the same hospital."
