Selly Oak charity worker spearheads landmark's birthday celebrations

THE dedication of a charity worker who has helped find work placements for sufferers of Aspergers’ Syndrome is being honoured by bosses at a Birmingham landmark.

Joanne Gumbrell, of Selly Oak, has helped to give victims of the condition valuable work experience by organising placements at the Millennium Point complex.

Now Joanne is one of ten people whose successful work is being used to spearhead Millennium Point’s tenth anniversary celebrations.

Joanne, leader at ASpire Autism West Midlands, said: “I’m pleased to be a part of a great scheme.”
