Kate Middleton's home village came to a standstill on Friday as residents joined royal wedding celebrations, with a Queen look-a-like from Staffordshire adding to the fun.
Festivities in Bucklebury, Berkshire - where Kate Middleton grew up and her parents still live - were well under way to mark the occasion.

From an "extravaganza" in its farm park to parties in local pubs and special services at the local church, everyone in the area is getting involved in marking the big day.

A wedding breakfast, in the hamlet of Chapel Row where the Middletons live, started the day. Wedding revellers could enjoy duck racing, lamb racing, watching Morris Men or tucking into a hog roast.

Also making a guest appearance was professional Queen look-a-like Patricia Ford. "I am here because Kate was from Bucklebury and I thought it would be good to visit the village to see what it is like," she said.

"Bucklebury is a beautiful place and I can see why Kate is a lovely girl because it is a lovely place."

Mrs Ford, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, said she was looking forward to the wedding. "I am very excited by today and it is just the kind of thing we need to jolly us all along," she said. "Everyone will be having a knees up today."

Hundreds gathered on The Green at Chapel Row, Bucklebury - a few hundred metres from where Kate lived with her family - to watch the wedding service on a giant TV screen.

The crowd cheered, gasped and waved Union flags at the first glimpse of the princess in her dress as she entered Westminster Abbey. Revellers mouthed "perfect" and "wonderful" as they saw the bride's gown.

They also celebrated when the Archbishop of Canterbury pronounced the royal couple man and wife.
