Vicious brawl involving parents outside school in Kingshurst

TERRIFIED children looked on in horror as a young mum was attacked by a mob of women at the gates of her child’s primary school.

Five women launched a vicious assault as the 22-year-old victim was standing with a toddler while waiting to pick up her older child outside Yorkswood Primary School in Kingshurst, Solihull.

Parents said teachers quickly ushered children back inside the school as the fight spread into the school playground on Tuesday afternoon.

It was understood that the fight broke out just as children at the 260-pupil school were leaving for the day.

The woman was later taken to hospital after suffering scratches, bruising and a broken finger in the attack, which happened just before 3.30pm.

One parent, who did not wish to be named, said: “She was standing outside by the gates holding her little boy’s hand when a woman came up and started on her.

“People were there trying to break it up and get the baby away from it.

“But then the other women came up and started too and they ended up inside the school gates.
