BIRMINGHAM Hippodrome is launching a summer school of technical theatre on Monday, August 8.

The scheme will give 12 to 15-year-olds the chance to work alongside the theatre’s technical department who will teach them how shows are staged.

In a week, they will learn how to rig lighting, create concert quality sound and work with film and projection.
