
Detectives have launched a murder invesitgation after a post mortem following the death of a man in Northfield concluded he suffered blunt force trauma.
David McArthur was found inside a property on Woodbrooke Grove in Northfield, on Monday around 1.30pm.
The result of a post mortem revealed David died due to blunt force trauma.
Detective Inspector Wayne Jones, from Force CID, also added: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen David between Friday 19 August and Monday 22nd, to come forward.
"We are trying to piece together his movements and appeal for any information which may shed some light on what has happened.
"Anyone with any information should call police on 0345 113 5000 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
David's family today paid tribute in a statement which read: "David was the nicest man you could wish to meet and would never harm a fly.
"We would urge anyone with information to come forward and contact the police."
