CHURCH-goers are staging a fundraising concert as part of a campaign to raise £60,000 towards a revamp of their ageing Edwardian church.
Grade II–listed Cradley Heath Baptist Church has been awarded £106,000 in grants from English Heritage towards major structural work including repairs to dry rot in its roof timbers – leaving the congregation still needing the extra cash.
A series of fundraisers have been held and the latest – a Last Night of the Proms style concert featuring the Worcteser Concert Brass Band – is set for Saturday.
Tickets cost £5 and are available on the door for the 7pm show.
