Harry Moseley dies: Thousands pay tribute as #RIPharry becomes one of Twitter's most used phrases today

TRIBUTES have been paid to Harry Moseley on social networks ever since his death  was announced by his family early this morning.

At one point today, the phrase #RIPHarry was one of the most commonly used on the social network Twitter.

Tom Daley, the Olympic diver who lost his father to a brain tumour this year, wrote on Twitter: "Brain Tumours are such cruel things! One of the biggest killers of under 40s in UK...my thoughts are with @harry_moseley family! #RIPHarry"

Sutton Coldfield actor James Phelps, who appeared in the Harry Potter movies, wrote: "I'm lost for words this morning after learning that Harry passed away last night.my prayers are with him & his family #RIPHarry".

Dragons Den star Duncan Bannatyne, who had helped Harry with his campaign to sell bracelets to raise money for Cancer Research UK, wrote:  "Good bye @harry_moseley have a safe journey and RIP x"

Fellow Dragon Deborah Meaden added: "Very sad this morning for Harry mosely and his Family. A short life bravely lived.#RIPHarry"

Arsenal footballer Jack Wilshere wrote: "So sad that brave @harry_moseley has lost his battle with brain cancer aged 11. #RIPHarry"

Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand added: "So sad our brave lil man @harry_moseley has lost his life to brain cancer aged 11. My thoughts are with his family. #RIPHarry"

Birmingham City player Nathan Redmond wrote: "My thoughts are with @harry_moseley & his family today. Fought a long hard battle & its so sad because he didn't deserve it! #RIPHarry"

On Harry's Just Giving page, a flurry of donations had been made in memory of the 11-year-old, who had raised over £500,000 for charity during his four year bettle with the brain tumour. 

Graham Titmuss wrote: "Harry, you were an inspiration to us all. My thoughts are with your family at this sad time. God bless."

Renata Lamb added: "RIP Harry, an inspiration to us all. Thank you for everything you have done to battle brain tumours. Thinking of your family at this awful time xxx"

Janet Hagen said: "What an inspiration you were to many, you will not be forgotten my thoughts are with your family and friends be happy with the angels xxxx"

Christina Nugent added: "What an amazing sweet little man. He achieved more in his 11yrs than many in a lifetime with his kindness & courage. RIP"

Tributes were also being left across Facebook. On the Birmingham Mail's Facebook page, Amy Evans wrote: "That lad was a true hero, I hope he gets a star on Broad Street!"

Zaazi Ali added: "a truly worthy life lived, RIP little soldier" while Amanda Richards simply put: "RIP Harry."

On Harry Moseley's Twitter account, a message thanking people for their support was posted this morning.
