A BIRMINGHAM market trader who was jailed for selling counterfeit goods in 2009 has been ordered to pay back £328,000 of illegally earned income.
Sajid Hussain was jailed for 12 months after police found fake clothes and DVDs at a building at the back of his mother’s house.
Now the 38-year-old, from Sparkhill, has been ordered to pay back £328,000 at a Proceeds of Crime (POCA) hearing.
He failed to overturn the criminal conviction in 2009 or the POCA ruling at the Court of Appeal in front of three judges.
The dad-of-four has told the Mail that he is still fighting against the order.
Mr Hussain runs a shop at Small Heath Post Office and also has market stalls outside the Coventry Road business.
