THREE people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a house just hours into the New Year.

Fire and ambulance crews were called to the property on King Edward Street, Darlaston, around 4.45am.

A man, believed to be in his 40s, and two teenagers were treated at Walsall Manor Hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation.
