THE parents of a schoolgirl killed in a rush-hour collision with a lorry are tonight set to urge council bosses to improve safety measures on the Birmingham road where she died.
Hope Fennell, aged 13, became trapped under the wheels of the truck after she attempted to cross the busy High Street in Kings Heath on her bike on November 7 last year.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, firefighters and passers-by, the Queensbridge School pupil was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tragedy sent shockwaves throughout the community, with dozens of floral tributes being laid at the crash site.
Now her family is campaigning for improvements to the road, in a bid to prevent any more deaths.
