Woman and daughter cut from car after collision with van in Yardley

A WOMAN and her daughter were cut free from their car and taken to hospital after a collision with a van in Birmingham.

The mum, who had been driving and is aged in her 40s, suffered a serious injury to her right leg and a chest injury from the accident in Stoney Lane, Yardley.

Her daughter, aged in her 20s, escaped with minor injuries.

The van driver, who was a man aged in his 30s or 40s, also suffered minor injuries.

All three were taken to Heartlands Hospital.

Two fire crews from Sheldon and paramedics were called out at about 10.45am yesterday.
