Car 'clubbing' man pays up

AN 18-year-old man has been cautioned after an alleged golf club attack on a car on a Worcestershire stretch of motorway.

Two silver Ford Fiestas were reported to have boxed in a Vauxhall Corsa on the M42 as it travelled for 11 miles at high speeds.

With the car trapped, a passenger swung a gold club at the vehicle, it was alleged. The Corsa only got away after reversing at a roundabout near Bromsgrove just after 11pm on January 9.

A passenger in one of the Fiestas, from Bromsgrove, was given the caution, which will remain on his record for five years.

He also agreed to pay for the damage caused to the Corsa.

No action has been taken against the 18-year-old driver of the Fiesta, who is also from Bromsgrove.
