'Vulnerable' teenager missing from Redditch home

POLICE are searching for a 'vulnerable' teenage schoolgirl after she went missing from her Midland home more than a week ago.

Laura Edwards, aged 15, from Redditch, disappeared on February 20.

She was last seen carrying Tesco bags full of clothes and police now believe she may be living in the Birmingham area.

Witnesses said she had been wearing a boy's'grey zip-up jacket on the day she disappeared.

They said she had been wearing black jeans and black or brown boots with fur on them.

She is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build, with dark brown shoulder-length hair which is usually worn in a bun.

PC Mohammed Waliat, of Redditch Police, said: "Laura has been missing for more than a week now, and given her young age, she is considered vulnerable. Anyone who knows her whereabouts is asked to call police on 08457 444888."
