Police warning after car tyres slashed by vandals in Bromsgrove

POLICE today appealed for witnesses after four cars parked outside houses in a Bromsgrove road had their tyres slashed.

Officers at West Mercia Police warned people to step up their security measures after the cars were attacked in Stoke Road at some point during the evening of Tuesday, February 19, and the early hours of Wednesday, February 20.

Officers believed vandals used a knife to slash the tyres and are linking the four attacks.

Bromsgrove crime risk manager PC Stan Baker said: "Owners are reminded their vehicles are much less likely to be vandalised, stolen or broken into if they are kept in a secure garage overnight.

"When it is not possible to use a garage, it is better to park on the drive rather than on the road.

"A security light that comes on when the sensor detects movement can act as a deterrent and be a worthwhile investment."
