Kidderminster death crash leaves two teens fighting for life

TWO teenagers were today fighting for their lives 48 hours after being involved in a horrific car crash that killed a man.

The two Kidderminster youths, a boy and a girl both 17, were sitting in the back of a Rover car when it collided with a white Ford Transit van at the junction of the A451 Minster Road and Oldington Lane, Kidderminster, at 12.15am on Monday.

The 18-year-old driver of the Rover is in a stable condition at Redditch's Alexandra Hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which left a 23-year-old Cookley man dead. The three occupants of the van escaped with minor injuries.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was bailed pending further inquiries.
