Man in court over recycling body

A REDDITCH man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Birmingham teenager whose body was found in a truck at a rubbish site.

Scott Hancox, aged 34, of Fownhope Close, appeared at Redditch magistrates court yesterday charged with the murder of 17-year-old Nathan James Lyons.

The body of Nathan, who lived with his mother Joanne Cadien in Darwin Street, Highgate, was discovered in a recycling lorry at a waste disposal centre in Crayford, south east London, on May 13.

Hancox was remanded in custody following the brief hearing yesterday morning and is now due to appear before Worcester crown court on Thursday.
