Teenager charged over drain thefts
A TEENAGER has been charged with stealing dozens of iron drain covers from a Midland trading estate.
The 18-year-old, from Stourport-on-Severn has been charged with stealing 26 cast iron drain covers from the Hartlebury Trading Estate and is due to appear before Worcester Magistrates Court on June 13.
Officers at West Mercia Police launched Project Livewire last summer after the number of metal thefts soared in Worcestershire and surrounding counties.
