Disabled woman assaulted

A WOMAN was subjected to a shocking sex attack as she was riding along a Midland street in her mobility buggy.

The sex beast pounced as the victim made her way along Charford Road, Charford, Bromsgrove, on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the man approached the woman and started a conversation.

But as she made her excuses to get away, the offender leaned forward kissed her and then sexually assaulted the woman.

The man then calmly walked away from the area.

Police patrols have now been stepped up as police hunted the man described as white, in his late 50s or early 60s, with grey hair, and referred to himself as Mick.

Sgt Steve Tristram, of Bromsgrove Police, said:

"Police patrols in the area have been increased and house to house inquiries are being carried out.

"We are appealing for any other women who may have been approached by this man but not reported it as well as witnesses or anyone else with information to contact police."

* Police can be contacted on 08457 444888 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.
