Kidderminster hunt for crash driver

A GIRL of nine escaped with minor injuries after being hit by a motorist who drove off.

The girl was crossing Hurcott Road, Kidderminster, with her 14-year-old brother when she was in collision with a large black vehicle at 11.30am last Friday.

The driver stopped briefly to ask the girl if she was all right before driving off again. Police said he did not leave his details and did not report the collision.

He is described as white, in his 30s, with dark hair, about 6ft, and of medium build.

Two male pedestrians stopped to give first aid and police would like to trace them too.

The girl suffered minor injuries and was treated at Kidderminster Hospital.
