Birmingham writer Paul Gifford finds success in America

Birmingham writer Paul Gifford.

BIRMINGHAM-born writer P.S. Gifford is finding his dream of being a professional writer coming true - not in England but in California, where he has called home for a number of years.

His first book- The Curious Accounts of the Imaginary Friend - is being very well received, and is opening many doors for him.

He will be a guest speaker at Hypericon, in Nashville, Tennessee, along with such literary luminaries as Joe R. Lansdale and Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Born in Great Barr, he is even planning to do a book tour back in his native Birmingham in 2009.

P.S. Gifford's second book should be out in a few weeks.
