Birmingham band The Heathers drumming up a storm on the internet

The Heathers

UNSIGNED Birmingham band The Heathers are creating a stir on the world wide web with a video for their debut single Heartache & Hairdye.

It has generated thousands of views within it's first day! extraordinary for an unsigned band, but The Heathers have been getting the backing from the Birmingham public since forming in september 2007.

They have generated over 27,000 fans via their release on http://www.myspace.com/theheathersuk and, as a struggling unsigned band, have just sold their pants on ebay!! for £102.

The Heathers consist of Midlands trio Matt McConnell, drummer Rob Peters and guitarist Murray Gardiner and vocalist David Gwynne from Stirling.

They turned down a potentially lucrative record deal last year with a major label after the label wanted to sack drummer Rob for being "too old", needless to say the lads said no and have continued the hard way.

Still looking for a record deal, this band is going from strength to strength with the Birmingham public strongly behind them.
