Award for Solihull workers with the blind

A GROUP of volunteer workers from Solihull have been recognised for their work with the blind.

The 11 volunteers won the top Royal National Institute for the Blind Team of the year Award, beating 21 other teams. 

The team give their time to help blind and partially sighted people in the area to improve their quality of life.

They work at the 2 Sight Loss Resource Areas located at Chelmsley Wood library and Solihull Central library providing information, teaching Braille, or giving demonstrations on some of the products which can help achieve different everyday tasks.
