Little Sutton School features on YouTube

A BIRMINGHAM school has taken its fundraising efforts into cyberspace by featuring in a YouTube video.

Pupils and staff at Little Sutton School in Sutton Coldfield are the stars of a video created by fundraising website www.easyfundraising.org.uk to help promote the unique site to other organisations.

Parent governor Mark Griffiths, who features in the film, said the school was thrilled to be included.

"We use www.easyfundraising.org.uk to raise funds for the school and so far we've raised almost £800.  It is a very simple idea.  Parents and staff simply use the site to shop online with over 500 well known retailers and whenever they make a purchase, up to 15% of their spend is passed back to the school.

"We're so pleased with the easyfundraising scheme that when we were approached to take part in the video, we jumped at the chance.

"It was a lot of fun doing it.  The children loved having a film crew in school and are now thrilled to see themselves starring in a film. They were filmed playing with the new equipment purchased with the money we raised with easyfundraising and one of our most talented young musicians can also be seen playing the keyboard which was also partially funded by easyfundraising funds."
