ARE you Birmingham’s worst cook?
If you are, you could put that right by getting cookery lessons from seven of Brum’s top chefs plus £250 worth of kitchen equipment from Red Rob’s Catering Supplies, the long-established Birmingham firm that has equipped many of our top restaurants.
The Broad Street Business Improvement District is celebrating the Birmingham Food Fest – the city’s new ten-day gastronomic celebration held in association with London Midland.
Do you know a disastrous cook? Then nominate him or her. Or nominate yourself if you’re really rubbish in the kitchen.
The winner will learn the skills behind a whole host of dishes and tastes from the traditional balti to Italian classics and fine dining – learning from Birmingham’s best. Among the chefs who will be sharing his knowledge is Bishal Rasaily, of Pushkar, who said: “This city has a wealth of fantastic culinary expertise.
“I learned the traditional cooking methods from my mother and it’s this and my experience in a range of five-star venues that go into making the Pushkar menu so individual and popular.
“I’m looking forward to passing my skills and knowledge on.”
