Tournament over the weekend. Based upon the UEFA Euro 2008 Tournament - each team were drawn teams & Meadow Park was drawn out as Spain. All 6 teams played in 1 league and it was the top 2 who ventured into the Final. Meadow Park played 5 games and needed to win their last game to stick a chance. Bromsgrove Town (drawn England) won all 5 games to top the league but if Alcester coud'nt get 3 points from their last game & Meadows won - it would be Meadow Park v Bromsgrove Town. All 10 players had already played Bromsgrove Town prior and lost narrowlly 1-0, so when they played them in the Final they had to do better. A first half move & pass by Daniel McArdle allowed Rory Douglas to score from just inside the box,and this proved to be the only goal.
