ROWHEATH Pavilion was a great relief after a walk in the cold, rain and mud this week. Having been around the playing fields and the lake, it was beginning to get dark. My colleague and I were chilled to the bone and ready for a nice hot cuppa and some TLC. The Pavilion café was just the ticket. We were warmly welcomed into a cosy room with homely furnishings and even pressed to try some of the home-made cakes. It would have been rude not to. The walk was a pleasure with some gorgeous plants and trees, plenty of places for children to play, with a well kept outdoor play area and a children’s corner inside the café. This is an excellent place for restoring a little sanity for school runners and anyone else in need of a little peace and quiet.Read
