Students in evironmental protest at Birmingham University

ENVIRONMENTALIST students will be marching around campus on the 21st of February, demanding the University of Birmingham to Go Green. The group has been collecting thousands of signatures for their giant petition which will be presented to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Michael Sterling. The campaign makes three demands: firstly it asks for the support of our Vice Chancellor for improving the Universitys environmental standards, secondly for a full environmental audit of the University and thirdly for an environmental policy which sets targets for improvement. The march looks to be a colourful one, involving lots of different societies who are coming together to promote this unique cause.
