Jedward to appear at Nightingale club in Birmingham

Jedward

CONTROVERSIAL X-Factor rejects Jedward have confirmed that they will appear at Birmingham’s Nightingale Club.

They will be coming to the venue on December 5 as part of the club’s deal to feature all of the show’s knocked out contestants.

The bequiffed pair started the show as outsiders and judge Simon Cowell even threatened to leave the country if they won.

Despite this, and a number of internet hate campaigns, they went on to become popular and became one of the most talked-about groups in the finals.

Meanwhile this Saturday will see the show’s afro-rocker Jamie Archer taking to the stage after he was dismissed from the show earlier this month.

He was booted out on November 15 after his cover of Queen’s The Show Must Go On, failed to sway the audience and judges.

He will be taking to the stage at the Kent Street club on Sunday morning from 1.30am. Doors are open from 8pm and entry is free before 10pm.

Across town on Saturday legendary dance stars Faithless will be returning to Birmingham for a second set at Broad Street club Gatecrasher.

Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss will be appearing as the Faithless Sound System to showcase tracks off their new album which is scheduled for release in early 2010. The pair kicked off the club’s summer season when they appeared as part of their Ibiza nights series in August.

This weekend also sees the club welcome Mighty Boosh star Mike Fielding through its doors for its Friday night indie event Supersonic Vague.

The brother of fellow Boosh star Noel Fielding, who plays Naboo on the show, will be at the club playing a set combining indie, alternative, dubstep and electro.

Saturday also sees renowned drum and bass star Andy C coming to the Custard Factory along with 18 fellow acts for one of the club’s regular Eclectricity events.

* Doors are open from 9pm to 6am and tickets cost from £13.50. For more information visit www.theticketsellers.co.uk.
