Dan's the man for Q

A head of Saturday's Cream Classics event at the Q-Club, the Birmingham Mail had a chance to chat to the show's star, Danny Rampling.

Where have you been playing recently?

I played for Azuli at the farewell party for The Cross in December. That's about all recently. Cream at the Q is going to be my first gig this year.

What do you think of the UK house scene at the moment?

This year is going to be really special year because it's the celebration of 20 years of the music culture we have created. I was at the Defected Party at Ministry Of Sound in London on Saturday and it was a great party.

What influences you the most?

Personal Development Information, Anthony Robbins, Ibiza, house music, wine, food, astronomy, films and traveling.

Is there anything exciting you're working on?

My new website www.dannyrampling.com, 20 years of house tour and a new Facebook group.

When you're not DJ-ing or producing, what else do you normally get up to?

Go to seminars, build houses, develop websites, invest in property, do internet marketing, make a difference increase knowledge through www.dannyrampling.com.

If you could only play one more club ever, what club would it be and what other DJs would be playing?

Somewhere warm that's open air with Morales, Knuckles, Tenaglia, Streetlife DJs and Carl Cox.

When did you last play at the Q club? Did you enjoy it?

Now you've got me! It was probably back in the 90s. Before the club shut down and way before the recent re-opening.

And what does the future hold for you?

Hopefully much continued success, abundance, joy and contentment.

Tickets cost from £12.50 - £15. For more information call 0121 212 1212, visit www.qclub.co.uk or email info@qclub.co.uk.
