Kershaw hits the decks at Oceana
FORMER Galaxy DJ and Ibiza regular Paul Kershaw is taking over the decks for Friday nights at Oceana.
The former drivetime presenter whose track Fiji was once voted Cream’s all time Number 1 anthem by Radio 1 listeners will start his residency at the Hurst Street nightspot from this week.
General manager of Oceana, Zolly Branch, says: “Paul’s varied success within the music industry has placed him in huge demand so we are delighted to welcome him as our new resident DJ.
“Guests can expect a thrilling evening each Friday when he hits the decks.”
Paul, who has more than a decade of experience in the industry and with Birmingham’s music scene has in the past played main stages at top dance festivals Creamfields and Global Gathering.
He has twice enjoyed chart success and has contributed on a number of tracks by other artists.
Oceana is also offering live music at its venue throughout this month and next with its Livewire Sessions held in its Aspen Ski Lodge room.
Every Friday and Saturday night the venue is showcasing a new artist. Acts this month will include duos Rebecca Stafford and Phil Graham, Dino Baptiste and Matt Tovey, as well as a number of other musicians.
