Another top draw museum

THERE'S another secret hideway to enthrall your children.

Opened in April 2001, The Pen Museum at Unit 3, The Argent Centre, Frederick Street, Hockley, is the city's finest unsung museum.

It celebrates Birmingham's little known place at the centre of the world pen nib trade and will be open from 11am-4pm on Bank Holiday Monday as usual and currently includes a silver jewel-lery exhibition loaned from Birmingham's Assay Office.

Children can write and draw with a variety of implements, as well trying to use proper 'old fashioned' typewriters.

Just remember not to dress them in their Sunday best because all children love messing with ink!

Regular opening hours: Mon-Sat 11am - 4pm; Sun 1pm - 4pm. Tel 0121 236 9834 or visit www.penroom.co.uk
