Lostprophets @ Carling Academy Birmingham

FOLLOWING 2003's sell-out performance at the same venue, Lostprophets returned to Birmingham to strut their stuff in front of a capacity crowd.

Opening with Everyday Combat, the Welsh rockers stormed through a wide-ranging set which included material from their latest album, the highly successful Liberation Transmission.

Songs from the new CD included 4am Forever, Everybody's Screaming and their recent single Rooftops, greeted with some of the loudest cheers of the night.

The band didn't forget their older fans, playing a selection of tracks from previous albums, Start Something and The Fake Sound of Progress.

Highlights were Ride, Burn Burn and Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja, which was personally dedicated to the Birmingham audience by lead singer Ian Watkins.

The Welsh rockers signed off with the highly popular Last Train Home, ending proceedings on the highest note possible.
