Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes @ Robin 2, Bilston

IT'S always pleasant to look forward to much anticipated annual events, such as summer holidays, Christmas and, for some, Southside Johnny.
SJ and the Asbury Jukes play the Robin at Bilston every autumn and if ever there was an antidote to those looming winter blues, then here it is.
The New Jersey boys have been partying for more than a quarter of a century now, and could still going strong another 25 years.
It helps that Southside Johnny Lyon is a consummate showman with a nice line in ironic stage patter, but he wouldn't get very far without the Jukes' high-octane musicianship.
