Hundred Reasons @ Carling Academy 2

FIVE years ago, Hundred Reasons were part of the new wave of British rock when debut album Ideas Above Our Station crashed the UK charts at number six.

Dropped by their label after poor sales of their follow-up, some then thought Hundred Reasons' career was over.

But last March, new album Kill Your Own saw the band bounce back with a diverse set of songs.

In Birmingham, Hundred Reasons simply soared. Despite recent vocal nodes surgery, Colin Doran's singing was pitch-perfect.

Opener If I Could was phenomenal and Kill Your Own owned the Academy. There was something there for fans old and new, with a set list filled with songs from years ago to new tracks The Chance and Live Fast, Die Ugly.

So as much as some may wish to see the back of them, the boys are back in town and they're looking to regain their post-hardcore crown.
