Broadway & Beyond, Brownhills Musical Theatre Company, Brownhills Community College Theatre

HIT numbers from eight good and great musicals are cleverly put together in this annual show by one of the regions most talented amateur companies.

Virtually every performance is a sell-out and it's easy to see why as the talented cast sing and dance their way through highlights from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Carousel, Evita, Buddy, The Pajama Game, Blood Brothers, Some Like it Hot and Hair.

Producer Tim Jones and choreographers Jill Horne and Elizabeth Casey have obviously put a great deal of thought and imagination into how each number is staged.

Katherine Woolridge and Richard Haines get the show off to a flying start with items from Joseph, and the pace never slackens. Dave Hayward, Steve Parrish, Helen Norgrove, Alison Room, Julie Lomas and Kate Rock are outstanding.

Musical director Ian Room and the band also contribute hugely to a marvellous show that runs to Saturday night.
