Dominic Kirwan, Tamworth Assembly Rooms

IRISH favourite Dominic Kirwan rocked with his West Midland fans in a show that had groovy grannies crowding in front of the stage yelling for more.

It was a programme packed with hits covering almost half century and the audience loved it.

And proud dad Dominic shared the stage with his sons, singer-songwriter Colm and talented drummer Barry.

Dominic sang songs from his most recent CD, A Little Bit More - a concept album featuring songs and hits from the 70s when he was a teenager in his native Ulster.

His fan club is based in Solihull and he says he always feels especially welcome in the Midlands.

Dominic said he was proud of Ireland's rich musical heritage and covered a range of traditional songs including Danny Boy - a must for any Irish performer.

The show built to a frantic finale that brought fans to their feet to sing along.
