The World's Greatest No.1 Hits, Town Hall, Birmingham

TWO hours of chart-topping hits, featuring over 30 songs, and performed by a talented company of around 80 performers, all added up to a most enjoyable evening.

The songs ranged from Nat King Cole's 1952 chart-topper 'When I Fall in Love' to Celine Dion and Westlife hits of the 21st century and none of them will ever have a 'sell-buy-date'.

The performers, mostly from the Birmingham and Midlands area, were the 60-strong 'Let's Sing Chorus', the company's youth singers and dancers and the Midlands Festival Band. Putting it all together as producer and conductor was Nigel Hopkins. He featured his own first-class choral arrangements of hits, including music from the Beatles and Abba, to Lloyd Webber.
