Fried Fish, Chipped Potatoes - Blists Hill Victorian Town

SHROPSHIRE’S Ironbridge equivalent of the Black Country Living Museum now has chips to match.

The golden wonders from the fried fish shop at Blists Hill Victorian Museum are magnificent things, cooked in dripping just the same.

The potatoes are a local variety from Shropshire which helps to give them a distinctive taste, well worth the £2 for a cone weighing 400g on my in-car scales. The fish wasn’t as good as the BCLM, but that’s another story.
