APPLICATIONS are invited for the Heart of England Fine Foods Diamond Awards 2010, celebrating the best of regional food and drink.

Categories include meat; poultry and game; prepared foods; bakery; confectionery; dairy; drinks; condiments and preserves; desserts; and fresh produce.

There will also be four Special Diamond Awards of Grow, Innovate, Taste and Excel. The closing date for entries is January 29. The awards ceremony is on May 15 at a venue to be confirmed
