The Big Blues Tribe come to Dudley

The Big Blues Tribe

BLUES Festival favourites The Big Blues Tribe bring their own brand of big band blues back to The Lamp Tavern in Dudley on April 12.

The nine-piece Tribe, playing music in the style of BB King, Ray Charles and more recently Jools Holland's R&B Orchestra, combine a full brass section, loads of vocal harmonies and a driving rhythm section with fine soloing and a real sense of humour.

Led by ex-Halesowen resident Oliver Carpenter, recently described in Blues in Britain magazine "one of the greatest singers we've produced," The Big Blues Tribe also features Stourbridge-based piano player Tony Bayliss.

The Dudley gig will be there second return to the venue. Tickets are priced at £5 and are available in advance direct from the band at www.bigbluestribe.com. Any remaining tickets will be available on the door.
