The legendary brand, famous for its lavish events in Ibiza, mainland Spain and numerous other sizzling destinations around the globe, have teamed up with Monarch Airlines and Birmingham City Council to bring the stylish sounds of the summer to the city as part of the opening weekend of entertainments.

The free party is on Saturday 20 June between 6pm and 9pm, and will be the perfect warm-up event for party-goers heading on to Hed Kandi’s stylish club night at Gatecrasher in Birmingham.

Sunday 21 June will be a much more laid back affair, with Spanish-themed music on the BRMB stage and a family film matinee of the Mask of Zorro at 3pm.  And for those who stayed up a little late on Saturday night, the deckchairs will offer the perfect chance for a traditional Spanish siesta.

The events are part of a whole range of Spanish entertainment and activities planned to reflect Monarch’s Spanish focus on the beach during its first week of operation.  Visitors will be whisked away to España to experience stunning displays of flamenco dancing as well as traditional Spanish music and for the adventurous, the opportunity to join in and learn to play the castonets.  Throughout the weekend,  the BRMB Beach bar and café will also be serving typical local dishes such as paella, sangria and cerveza (Spanish beer).
